Screen Rant can exclusively present a new clip from the chilling new horror film Devil's Workshop, which arrives in theaters and On Demand September 30, and on Blu-ray on November 8. Written and directed by Chris von Hoffmann in his feature film debut, the demonic tale stars from Lionsgate Timothy Granaderos (13 Reasons Why) as a struggling actor named Clayton who will do anything to win the role of a demonologist in his next potential project.
Unfortunately, his rival for the role is Donald (Emile Hirsch, Speed Racer), who seems to have the part already in the bag. In an act of desperation, Clayton contacts a demon lore expert named Eliza (Radha Mitchell, Man on Fire) to help him become the perfect choice, While he is in her home, Eliza makes Clayton confront his own past as well as perform dark rituals he never expected to take part in. When his goals no longer align with hers, Devil's Workshop takes an even darker turn that will have viewers on the edge of their seats.

But the story doesn't start in nearly as unsettling a manner, as Screen Rant's exclusive clip from Devil's Workshop can attest. In it, Donald is shown explaining his newfound search for paranormal activity and spirituality, thanks to his callback for the movie Psychic Highway. In order to prepare for the part, he proposes an emotional purge and asks his friend Nikki (Sarah Coffey) to let him be her demon therapist. Watch the full clip below:
Donald's personality may feel arrogant and immediately off-putting, something that carries over from the trailer for Devil Workshop that was released earlier, but at least his avenue for taking on the role of a lifetime doesn't seem as dramatic as Clayton's. The film's protagonist digs himself a very deep hole that he will need to climb out of—perhaps with the help of the very spirits Eliza teaches him to summon.
Other recent Lionsgate releases this year include Roland Emmerich's apocalyptic sci-fi Moonfall and buddy comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, starring Nicolas Cage. Survival tale Fall came out in August, followed by Kevin Smith's highly-anticipated Clerks III earlier this month, showcasing the wide range of quality entertainment the Lionsgate brand provides. Devil's Workshop has a runtime of 86 minutes and is rated R for violent content, language throughout, drug use, some sexual material, and nudity.
Devil's Workshop will be in theaters and On Demand and Digital on September 30 before becoming available on Blu-ray and DVD on November 8.
