Max Low (previously known as No Pants Party) is an L.A. based duo with a growing profile in the tech house scene. Born and raised in Seattle, they found an affinity for dance music in the heart of an expanding electronic music scene before moving south. While only just forming in 2022, Max Low has already served as a mainstay in house music in a past life, previously placing successful top tracks on Toolroom, Farris Wheel, Hood Politics, and LOW CEILING. Upcoming releases have them going coast to coast within a matter of months, starting with Insomniac’s In/Rotation before a release on CID’s Night Service Only. Already supported by renowned tastemakers including Alesso, David Guetta, Lee Foss, and Pasquale Rotella, Max Low is set to have a massive year.
Now, the duo is back with a sizzling tech house heater titled, “Good Time” that delivers all of that and then some, signed to Insomniac’s prestigious In/Rotation imprint off of their compilation album ‘Rotate Vol. 8’. Filtered synths and a deeper ambiance kick the song off, swelling into an intoxicating drop that is impossible not to move your body to. Flickers of confidence-evoking vocals and added drum deliver an edgy allure round out this track to be not only a fantastic release from this impressive duo, but also an excellent track for any DJ to have in their arsenal.
The track first debuted at Academy L.A early this month, the duo stepping onto the stage for a secret set alongside Matroda, Black V Neck, and Cloverdale. The night was nothing short of success, the crowd engaging with the grooves, clearly showcasing their receptiveness toward the vibrations put into the air.
“We are SO excited to be releasing our first track as Max Low on IN/ROTATION, and to join the family of inspiring artists who have been part of this forward-thinking label! Our main objective is always to make music that helps people forget about their worries and enjoy life in the moment, and we think Good Time perfectly represents that. Plus the timing is impeccable, as it’s coming out right when festival season is kicking into high gear!” – Max Low
