Warning! SPOILERS for Do Revenge ahead.Netflix's teen comedy Do Revenge involved a cast of talented and acclaimed actors and similarly distinguished cameos, including Sophie Turner as Erica Norman – here's why Do Revenge wasted Sophie Turner's appearance. Co-written and directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Do Revenge stars Maya Hawke and Camila Mendes as leads Eleanor and Drea, two teenagers who make a pact to destroy each other's enemies so that nobody can trace the acts of revenge back to them. Released on Netflix on September 16, Do Revenge's plot is loosely inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train, only infused with a healthy dose of '90s teen comedy movies.

Revenge is the goal for both protagonists, but Eleanor and Drea aren't just focused on whom they define as their main objectives – Carissa (Love Victor's Lucy's Ava Capri) for Eleanor and Max (Austin Abrams) for Drea. Their first collaboration, which then starts their long con to try and make Carissa and Max pay, has as a target a girl that shares Drea's private video among those at tennis camp, Erica (Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner). Acting on the intel Eleanor gives her, Drea ends up having Erica thrown out of tennis camp, leading to a dramatic outburst by Erica and her friend Jessica in front of the whole tennis class as the camp's security escorts them out.

Although an impactful and entertaining character, Erica is dealt with pretty easily by Drea and Eleanor. Yet, as Eleanor's long-term goal gets revealed during Drea's visit to Carissa in rehab, Erica makes another appearance, showing she hasn't lost her tenacity and still holds a grudge against Drea, whom she still sees as the culprit behind her expulsion and its ill effects. Turner's Erica shines bright in Do Revenge, but she isn't focused on as she doesn't go to Rosehill, making Netflix's teen drama effectively waste Sophie Turner's talent. However, Erica's surprise reappearance and ever-present hatred toward Drea could potentially set her up for a Do Revenge spinoff, ending up delivering the character and Sophie Turner's full potential.

Why Sophie Turner's Character From Do Revenge Deserves A Spinoff

Sophie Turner as Erica Norman in Do Revenge

Besides Turner's talent and Erica's captivating personality, Erica would have a reason to come back for her revenge on both Drea and Eleanor. After all, Erica is just a paw in Eleanor's revenge plan against Drea, as she received the video from Eleanor herself, and she is extensively affected by Drea's actions that cause her to be kicked out from camp, lose her Stanford scholarship and actually develop a drug addiction following the expulsion from tennis camp. While Drea and Eleanor's newly sincere friendship characterizes Do Revenge's ending as positive as they come to terms with the horrible things both did to each other, Erica might not see things the same way. Indeed, Erica never seems particularly understanding, instead being shown as prone to anger, therefore, learning about Eleanor and Drea's involvement in the predicament she finds herself in could easily push her to plot her revenge against them.

Do Revenge clearly shows how Erica is not over Drea's manipulations, as her colorful painting of Drea as an evil figure shows. If Erica were to be the focus of a spinoff, not only could it potentially bring on a revival of '90s teen movies, but it would also make sense considering the character. It could also make better use of Sophie Turner's Erica, truly delivering her full potential that was overlooked by Do Revenge.
