Saban Films is bringing audiences a unique fantasy horror film in Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon, and Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive clip from the movie before its premiere on September 30. This marks acclaimed filmmaker Ana Lily Amirpour's third feature, which has been highly anticipated given the splash that she has already made with A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night and The Bad Batch. Her latest project stars Jeon Jong-seo and Kate Hudson as a surprising yet fascinating duo.

Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon tells the story of Mona Lisa Lee (Jeon, Money Heist: Korea), a patient at the inappropriately named Home of Mentally Insane Adolescents. After using her unconventional powers to make a run for it, she meets a single mother named Bonnie (Hudson), and the pair team up to make some cash with Mona Lisa's supernatural tricks. The film also stars Craig Robinson (Killing It) as a police officer on the hunt for the escaped girl, Ed Skrein (Alita: Battle Angel) as a would-be DJ, and Evan Whitten (Big Sky) as Bonnie's son.
In Screen Rant's exclusive clip from Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon, Bonnie takes Mona Lisa to her workplace: a strip club where some of the patrons have previously stiffed her on a good tip. Upon first being introduced to the young woman, the men declare her to not be their type. But Bonnie isn't here to set up any matches; she wants to settle a score, and she's happy to use Mona Lisa's powers to do it. Watch the full clip here:
A $2 tip is a travesty, so it's only natural that Bonnie requests more the second time around. Whether demanding they empty their wallets is going too far or not is for the viewers to decide, but the clip provides a good look at how the mysterious protagonist's abilities work. When someone is caught by her gaze, they are compelled to follow her commands—which explains why Craig Robinson's Harold warned not to look into her eyes in the trailer. With him on her trail, Mona Lisa and Bonnie may need a lot more than some strip joint cash to get away clean.
