Honest Trailers takes on Screen Rant's Pitch Meeting series in a hilarious new video collaboration. Pitch Meeting is the popular YouTube series from Screen Rant, which stars host Ryan George, who portrays both "Producer Guy" and "Screenwriter Guy" as they go back and forth on a fictional recreation of a pitch meeting for a movie. The wildly popular series has been ongoing since 2017, garnering 43 million views thus far, and ushered in a string of catchphrases that have become a staple to the show, including the hallmark "Actually, it was super easy. Barely an inconvenience."

Similarly, Honest Trailers from Screen Junkies is another comedic YouTube show, which essentially takes a crack at various movies by giving "honest" takes on it, which is usually derived from reviews and fan reactions. The series is hosted by Jon Bailey, who uses his unmistakable "trailer voice" to guide the proceedings to hilarious effect, making it one of the more popular (and longest-running) movie-themed YouTube shows. The channel currently has over 6 million subscribers and nearly 3 billion views, with new Honest Trailer episodes debuting every Tuesday.

Now, both Ryan and Jon collide in a collaboration that has Honest Trailers taking on Pitch Meeting, creating a perfect mash-up of the two shows. The video takes on the same format as an Honest Trailer with the topic being Pitch Meeting, which highlights the many callbacks to the show, including the numerous catchphrases, googly-eyed thumbnails, and the Clark-Kent level of effort put in to differentiate the characters. The collaboration also marks the 300th episode of Pitch Meeting, a tremendous milestone for the series. Check out the video below:

George gives a special thanks at the end of the video and reminds viewers that a special announcement is coming at the end of the next Pitch Meeting, so fans should stay tuned for that. The series continues to grow in popularity, with many episodes racking up more than 2 million views, such as the Morbius episode and The Batman episode. Similarly, Honest Trailers' takes on both Morbius and The Batman also have big views, putting both shows on equal footing in terms of interest on specific titles and their unique comic takes on them.

There's a lot of movie-themed content on YouTube, but both Pitch Meeting and Honest Trailers have carved out a strong niche as being genuinely funny and frequently spot-on with their delivery. Some takes are stronger than others, but the quality and consistency of both shows have made them go-to programming for movie fans, and rightly so. Neither show is particularly mean-spirited, and this collaboration only proves that neither series is above poking fun at themselves in the way they take on some of the year's biggest releases.
