The Black Adam trailer screened atop the roof of the massive L.A. Rams stadium. The next movie in the DCEU line-up, Black Adam is poised to mark the DCEU debut of Hollywood's most bankable superstar, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The movie follows Johnson's Man in Black as he emerges following his wrongful 5000-year-long imprisonment, and quickly he unleashes his wrath unto the modern world, seeking revenge for the crimes against him and his family. Black Adam's violence and brutality catches the attention of the Justice Society of America (JSA), who attempt to negotiate a peace agreement with the Kahndaqian anti-hero and convince him to use his superpowers for the righteous cause.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

So far, to familiarize audiences with the new anti-hero who will upend the "hierarchy of power in the DC Universe," WB has shared multiple trailers for the movie, with the final Black Adam trailer just dropping last week. The videos have highlighted different aspects of the movie, such as Adam's unsparing violence and unmatched superpowers, as well as the comics-accurate characterization of core JSA members Doctor Fate, Hawkman, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone – respectively played by Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, and Quintessa Swindell. Epic aerial footage shared by the Los Angeles Rams on Twitter shows the teaser for Black Adam being screened on top of the roof of the enormous SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. While the audience's reactions are not discernible, it's easy to imagine them bursting with excitement as they witness the massive marketing drive firsthand. Black Adam has really set a new benchmark with its promotional investments, giving a boost to the already bustling hype around the film. Take a look at the video below:

In the days following the finalization of the Warner Bros Discovery merger in April, the Black Adam marketing campaign noticeably slowed down. But since August, promotion has really picked up the pace, and as the new clip shows, the movie is really going all out to increase its visibility. The idea of projecting a clip from the movie on the roof of the L.A. Rams stadium is absolutely staggering, and it is undoubtedly one of the most creative marketing tactics adopted by any film to date.

What's more is that Johnson and his castmates have been actively engaged in drumming up publicity for Black Adam. They signed on to a number of interviews and are spiritedly tackling fans' questions and wishes, both in person and on social media. This has really helped earn the film the goodwill of its potential viewers, while also gaining traction simply by word of mouth. With that now being topped by these amazing marketing tactics, Black Adam is definitely on the right track to making WBD a ton of money, potentially becoming one of the highest-grossing movies of 2022. That said, the over-the-top marketing sets expectations for the film very high, and whether the movie would be able to deliver on them will become clear in due course.
