In True Things, Wilson plays Kate, a woman working a tedious office job and sleepwalking her way through life. A chance encounter at work leads her to a passionate sexual encounter with a stranger (Burke) who challenges and excites her in ways her mundane life cannot. Kate develops an infatuation with this intriguing man, and the exhilaration of a new relationship with someone so mysterious and stimulating leads her on what will be an emotionally dangerous journey that may consume her.

Screen Rant's exclusive clip gives the audience a look into the wild side of Kate. However, her cohort is uncomfortable with the situation, and a rejected and confused Kate is left to walk home alone. Watch the full clip below:

True Things is a deep dive into the mind of a character who lives on the fringes of society and is desperately trying to break free of the confines of the roles dictated to her. It explores female sexuality and passion, and the dangers a woman like Kate faces in a world that expects her to conform to a specific place in society. How her journey ends remains for audiences to find out for themselves, but it's surely a ride worth taking.

Samuel Goldwyn Films has released several other titles that would entice film enthusiasts, including Attack on Finland, The Royal, and Art of Love. Blind Ambition, a documentary about Zimbabwe refugees that become competitive wine tasters, is another September September release alongside True Things. They will also introduce Possession, a horror film by Norwegian filmmaker Henrik M. Dahlsbakken, to the United States next month.

True Things finally arrives in US cinemas on September 9, after its Venice International Film Festival premiere last year.
