The upcoming drama film Causeway starring Jennifer Lawrence has officially received a release date from the record-breaking streamer Apple TV+. Lawrence was last spotted in the 2021 black comedy Netflix hit film Don’t Look Up, which went on to be nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture. It was previously announced that the Academy Award-winning actress would be starring in the upcoming R-rated comedy from Gene Stupnisky (Good Boys) titled No Hard Feelings, which is set to hit theaters next summer, leaving fans to question if their big screens would be lacking Lawrence’s presence for the entirety of 2022, until now.

It has now been announced via Variety that the upcoming Lawrence film Causeway will be hitting Apple TV+ on November 4. Although a vast majority of the film’s details are currently being held close to the chest, the upcoming drama will see Emmy Award nominee Brian Tyree Henry star opposite Lawrence.

Causeway was written by Ottessa Moshfegh, Luke Goebel, and Elizabeth Sanders and will see Lila Neugebauera in the director’s seat, marking her feature film debut. The upcoming drama film is produced by independent entertainment company A24 along with Lawrence herself and Justine Ciarrocchi for Excellent Cadaver. The raw, emotional, and unfortunately relatable role that Lawrence is set to take on in Apple TV+’s upcoming drama is already setting itself up to shed light on a side of Lawrence that audiences have yet to see when Causeway hits the streamer service on November 4.
