How I got the photo: Chocolate brownies (Part One)

Yum! Fresh chocolate brownies, is there anything better? I’m pretty sure you all know what they taste like. The trick with your images is to make your viewer want one … NOW! So, here is how I got the photo.

• White acrylic (perspex) sheet, but you could use white project paper

• Brownies — mine are store-bought, but you can make them yourself

I imported my images into Lightroom Classic and gave a simple preset, Santa Bright from my latest Christmas collection, you can download it here. Resized it and uploaded it. That’s it.

Make it more creative

Move around within your shot. Focus on the brownies, the berries or other details. Don’t want red berries? Remove them, or add other berries (especially fresh) or small flowers. Add a light dusting of icing sugar or chocolate bits. Add a small bottle or glass of milk and napkins. So much can be done or keep it simple.
