Are you looking for a fun project to spruce up your social media for 2023? Why not use your words or letters? Got those cute plastic magnetic letters the kids learn to spell with on the fridge? Or Scrabble letters … or how about old-fashioned ink stamps? Lots of fun and you can get super creative.
Cute ideas for social media
I started doing this a few years back. Every 1st of the month, I post a Hello Monthly special media post using a cute pic with the month spelt out with scrabble tiles or similar. They are super cute, but they don’t have to be cute. You can use them in all sorts of ways. It’s just a matter of getting creative.
Scrabble letters

I found these old timber Scrabble tiles, but you could use more modern plastic ones. Those magnetic plastic letters that stick on a fridge in bright colors could be terrific too.
Ink stamps
.mgl-tiles { display: none; } #mgl-gallery-63a3103d9a02d { margin: -2.5px; width: calc(100% + 5px); } #mgl-gallery-63a3103d9a02d .mgl-box { padding: 2.5px; } @media screen and (max-width: 768px) { #mgl-gallery-63a3103d9a02d { margin: -2.5px; width: calc(100% + 5px); } #mgl-gallery-63a3103d9a02d .mgl-box { padding: 2.5px; } } @media screen and (max-width: 460px) { #mgl-gallery-63a3103d9a02d { margin: -2.5px; width: calc(100% + 5px); } #mgl-gallery-63a3103d9a02d .mgl-box { padding: 2.5px; } }
I found these old-school letter stamps and bought an ink pad from an office supply store. I also picked up these gift tags, but have also used hand-torn watercolor paper for a real rustic look too.
Keep it simple
Keep it simple. Don’t overburden your images with too much stuff. Let your words shine through. Even a whole heap of old magazines or newspapers will offer a fun afternoon of making your own headlines to share on blog posts and social media.
Sometimes doing something a little quirky will get people to stop the scroll and look for a minute. That’s half the problem on social media fixed … for a moment.
