A brand new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness fan-made video imagines a better Doctor Strange and Wanda Maximoff final fight. Marvel Studios' first big-screen offering in 2022 was the Sam Raimi-directed flick. While it functions as the sequel to Scott Derrickson's original Doctor Strange movie from 2016, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is also an important pillar of the MCU's Multiverse Saga, as it dives deeper into the various realities out there.

Part of Doctor Strange's latest adventure was going up against Wanda, who fully embraced her villainous side as the Scarlet Witch after the events of WandaVision. Since the confirmation that Elizabeth Olsen would appear in Doctor Strange 2, there was immense excitement about seeing two of the most prominent magic-wielders share the screen. While both Wanda and Doctor Strange fought Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, they never had any interaction with one another until the Raimi-directed blockbuster. Unfortunately, the Doctor Strange follow-up wasn't able to fully showcase the pair's respective prowess in what could have been an epic one-on-one final fight.
Inspired by this, TikTok user carlitoon imagines a better climactic battle between Doctor Strange and Wanda in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In the short clip, the pair use a mix of their signature magic moves, as well as new ones, for an exciting matchup. Watch the clip below:
Although there was excitement to see Wanda join Doctor Strange's movie, there's a widely held opinion among fans that Doctor Strange 2 misused Scarlet Witch. For what it's worth, this should have been expected, since she isn't the film's titular character, and the focus would always have been on Doctor Strange. But beyond that, there was barely any type of real magic battle between the pair. In past MCU projects like Doctor Strange and Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios was able to find creative ways to utilize the future Sorcerer Supreme's unique abilities to stage interesting battles. But for some reason, they failed to do that when he was pitted against Wanda. The aforementioned video suggests a clear way Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness could have fixed that.
For context, Marvel was originally saving Scarlet Witch as Avengers 5's villain, but things changed when writer Michael Waldron convinced them to fast track her evil turn so she could serve that function in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. That isn't necessarily a bad idea, but in hindsight, it would have been better if the MCU stuck with their initial plan for the Scarlet Witch. After all, they could still have the opportunity to see Doctor Strange battle her in the next Avengers film, while Raimi's sequel could have focused more fully on Doctor Strange's journey as a hero.
