Hugh Jackman leads an all-star cast in the new The Son trailer. The family drama is co-written and directed by Florian Zeller, his latest movie following The Father, which earned him and fellow scribe Christopher Hampton Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay. The Son is based on one of Zeller's acclaimed plays, once again adapting it for the screen with Hampton, while Jackman leads the stellar cast that also includes Laura Dern, Vanessa Kirby, Zen McGrath, and Anthony Hopkins, who starred in The Father.

Those familiar with Zeller's The Father can expect similarly intense acting from the dramatic talent on hand, as The Son trailer reveals another emotionally devastating story. The Son will also feature a score from Hans Zimmer, which will surely add to the film's emotional highs and lows. With The Son slated for a November 11 release, it will be interesting to see if the film can meet the same awards heights as The Father.
