Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Ramsey in the Fast and Furious franchise, has opened up about her role in the upcoming tenth installment, Fast X. The action series, which began as a straightforward drama about street racing in 2001, has transformed into one of Hollywood's craziest and most profitable movie properties. The Fast films feature a massive and ever-changing roster of characters, all of whom help Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto on adventures and missions that often determine the fate of the world.

As British cyber-hacker Ramsey, Emmanuel, 32, joined the saga in 2015's Fast & Furious 7. She's since become an integral and valuable member of Dom's crew in the next two movies. Ramsey's skills are quite different from her fellow heroes, as we learned in 2021's F9 that, unlike her nitro-fuelled friends, she doesn't know how to drive. 2023 is set to see the tenth Fast film hit theaters. The currently-filming movie will see the fan-favorite characters returning, including Ramsey, with several star-studded newcomers joining the franchise. Aquaman star Jason Momoa and Captain Marvel's Brie Larson are among the two newest stars to join the cast. With Emmanuel reprising her role as the young but resourceful computer expert, fans will be eager to see how her character has evolved this time.
In an interview with THR, the former Game of Thrones actress has a few teases to make about her reprisal in Fast X. Emmanuel reveals, "She[Ramsey]'s definitely much more open to driving than she was before," meaning that the character gets another chance behind the wheel following her hilarious efforts in F9. She adds that the character gets to "lead a bit more" and prove "her place in the group." Ramsey is clearly set to take a more significant role within Dom's crew this time and possibly become more of a vocal leader among the heroes. Check out the full interview quote below:
Yes, she’s definitely much more open to driving than she was before, but in [Fast X], we see Ramsey taking lead a bit more and continuing to affirm her place in the group and her necessity within the group, which is always really fun.
Fast X has had a tumultuous road to the screen, including losing mainstay director Justin Lin. Despite the troubles, the cast and crew are excited to show fans what's in store in the tenth film, now helmed by The Incredible Hulk's Louis Leterrier. Franchise newcomer Alan Ritchson, known for his role in Amazon's Reacher, claims that the upcoming movie will be the best one yet. Emmanuel, who has also appeared in the Maze Runner and Game of Thrones universes, is becoming a prominent and recognizable face in Hollywood. She's also set for a part in Francis Ford Coppola's exciting directorial return Megalopolis.
Fast X is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated blockbusters of the coming years, as the series becomes a heavy hitter alongside some of the biggest franchises. Emmanuel's new revelations prove to fans that there is still more to explore regarding the recognizable characters of the Fast and Furious films. Fast X is deep in production, but further news and revelations are expected in the coming months.
