Though already having haunted her young counterparts, Rugrats’ Angelica Pickles is even more terrifying as she becomes possess in The Exorcist crossover art. Angelica was one of the main characters in the Nickelodeon series, which ran for nine seasons from 1991-2006. She is the older sister of Tommy Pickles, and is often seen as somewhat of a bully to her younger brother and his friends in Rugrats as well as its various spinoffs, including All Grown Up!, where she is an older, nicer version of Angelica, Rugrats: Pre-School Daze, and the Rugrats movies.

The Exorcist, on the other hand, exists in an entirely different entertainment sphere in the horror movie genre. The film, based on William Peter Blatty's novel of the same name, came out nearly two decades before Rugrats did, hitting theaters in 1973. Though featuring a younger protagonist as its central character like Rugrats with Regan MacNeil, The Exorcist is far from a children’s film. Featuring possession, blood, and gore, The Exorcist is squarely a horror film, bone-chilling to this day even to some adults as it continues to be hailed as one of the best of the genre.
Though an unlikely pair, The Exorcist and Rugrats combine in new fan art from Instagram artist Daniel Björk. The fan art models a video-cover of The Exorcist with Linda Blair's possessed Regan, though instead of an image of the original character, the art sees Angelica becoming possessed with “The Exorcist” written in the font of the Rugrats logo. Tommy and Chuckie also stand horrified in the background, with Tommy holding a cross to ward off his possessed older sister. Check out the post below:

The artist makes inventive and hilarious use of the details in this crossover. “Nickelodeon,” for example, is replaced with “Picklelodion” above The Exorcist title. This is also sure to come as a funny approach to poke fun at the character that wreaks the most terror in Rugrats as Angelica is, of course, a standard older sister bully. With that said, some are sure to feel she seems just as demonic as Regan did to her younger brother Tommy and his same-aged friends.
Although unexpected, the Rugrats and Exorcist crossover art could be a nostalgic blend for fans of both franchises, with those who saw The Exorcist in theaters unlikely to have watched the animated series on their own volition, but perhaps some have watched with their own children. Beyond these initial fans, Rugrats has also gained a new fan base with its Paramount+ revival that aired in 2021. Rugrats has earned a season 2 renewal, which has yet to have a concrete release date.
