A personal message from the author:
For as long as I can remember I have had a love for Gothic romance novels. From the passionate tales of the Brontë sisters’ novels to the eerie short stories of Edgar Allan Poe, it has been one of my favourite genres for as long as I can remember.
The Tragic Tale of Teddy Woven epitomizes all of the things I have loved in classic English literature texts, particularly Gothic fiction. I wanted to write a character with a strong heroine that slowly falls in love with a tall, handsome stranger with a terrible secret. I also wanted to write the story-line in the 21st century, but have the characters almost feel out of their time. The two main characters, Sela and the love interest Theodore “Teddy” Woven are both old souls, and I believe that is what makes them so compatible to one another. Anyone that loves stories like “Rebecca” by Daphne du Maurier or “Dragonwyck” by Anya Seton, will absolutely adore this novel.
— Peter Gray
Sela is assigned to be a private gardener for Theodore “Teddy” Woven’s ancestral home. The young gardener soon finds her presence unwelcome as she slowly uncovers the truth about his family’s past. The greatest mystery of all lies not in the house, but with its owner.
