A new poster for Disney's D23 Expo 2022 teases what big reveals might be in store for fans, with hints including Star Wars, Marvel, Indiana Jones 5, and more. Walt Disney Studios continues to dominate the pop culture landscape with the MCU and Star Wars being two of the most successful franchises of all time. Although some of Disney's most recent Star Wars films have proven divisive critically and among fans, they've almost all been mega box office successes. Recently the studio has turned its attention to streaming, releasing highly popular Star Wars shows on Disney+, including The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The MCU, similarly, has thrived under Disney's leadership, with franchise entries routinely earning upwards of a billion dollars at the box office. With the MCU continuing to release hits and the long-awaited Indiana Jones 5 getting closer to its 2023 release, it's only fitting that Disney would use its very own special event to release trailers, announce new projects, and share additional information. After Disney recently confirmed that D23 will see the announcements of new MCU and Star Wars projects, a new poster has now teased more of what else might be in store for fans at the event.
In a poster promoting this year's D23 Expo, characters from all of Disney's major properties unite in and around the Walt Disney Cinderella Castle. Grogu is featured prominently on the poster, potentially hinting that information about The Mandalorian season 3 is on the way, but Indiana Jones, Spider-Man, Mulan, Elsa, Stitch, Dumbo, and a host of other characters and Easter eggs are also depicted. Check out the jam-packed new poster below:
With filming for the movie confirmed to be complete and with director James Mangold's tease back in March that a trailer for Indiana Jones 5 isn't far away, it seems very likely that this year's D23 is when fans may finally be treated to footage of Harrison Ford's triumphant return as the iconic archeologist. Similarly, a trailer for The Mandalorian season 3 was shown at Star Wars Celebration earlier this year. Grogu's prominent appearance on the poster could be hinting that this trailer might finally be released to a wide audience. In addition to the more obvious characters, the poster also features a subtle Black Panther sigil, which might mean additional info about the upcoming sequel.
With Disney controlling a number of major entertainment franchises, like Marvel and Star Wars, this year's D23 is shaping up to be an impressive event potentially filled with huge reveals. The inclusion of several other symbols on the poster, including the iconic sign of the Star Wars Resistance and the logo for Monsters Inc., tease that there could be a few surprises in store as well, in addition to whatever might be shown off from Indiana Jones 5. Thankfully, Disney fans don't have much longer to wait, with D23 now less than 2 weeks away.
